Biography

I am a postdoctoral researcher at Swansea University Medical School and my current research interest involves developing a less invasive diagnostic tool for oesophageal cancer. This involves measuring DNA damage in blood cells using the lymphocyte cytokinesis block micronucleus assay and the PIG-A mutation assay. My research also involves elucidating external/environmental factors that may induce or be protective against DNA damage as well as identifying the reason why blood cell mutation mirrors internal tumour development.
